CBC means complete blood count. A CBC test is a routine blood test if advised by the doctor. Blood normally consists of 55% plasma and 45% red blood cells. These cells contain red blood cells and white blood cells. With platelets, our blood contains cells. A CBC test can tell how many blood cells there are. In this CBC test, several parameters are measured:RBC, hemoglobin %, PCV, MCV, MCH, and MCHC. WBC (white blood cell count): There are many types of white blood cells. neutrophils Lymphocytes, basophils Monocytes and eosinophils give white blood cells. Complete information about the number of platelets is known through the CBC test.

CBC test parameter

1. RBC (red blood cells) in males range from 4.7 to 6.1 billion cells per microliter; females have 4.2 to 5.4 million cells per microliter

2. Hemoglobin Hemoglobin helps to supply oxygen to every cell in our body. Normally, hemoglobin is measured in grams per deciliter. In males, it is 13 to 18 g per deciliter; in females, however, 11.5 to 16.5 grams per deciliter is normal, and in any anemic condition, the percentage of hemoglobin is reduced.

3. Hematocrit PCV: PCV stands for packed cell volume, which is the percentage of our blood by hematocrit. To find out the percentage of red blood cells, a hematocrit test is advised. PCV in males is 42-45%, and in females, 38-42%.

4. Mean corpuscular volume (MCV) through MCV We measure the value of one red blood cell, i.e., how big one RBC is normally. One red blood cell is 82 to 100 cubic microns.

5. MCH means corpuscular hemoglobin. MCH is a measure of how much hemoglobin is in a red blood cell. MCH is measured on a pictograph of 27 to 33.

6. Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) MCHC means how much percentage of hemoglobin a single RBC can take for us. MCHC means the normal value of MCHC is 32 to 38. Microcytic MCH and MCHC values decreased in iron deficiency in thalassemia. MCH and MCHC values are increased in sickle cell disease.

7. White blood cells (WBC) Normal white blood cells are 4000 to 11000 cubic millimeters; white blood cells help fight against any infection in the body. If the percentage of white blood cells is high, the condition is called leukocytosis. A low percentage of white blood cells is called leukopenia. 1. Eosinophils under no circumstances are normal levels. Low or absent eosinophils are parasitic infections in allergy. Hodgkin’s eosinophils are increased in lymphoma. 2. basophils Basophil percentage increased in proliferative disorder. 3. Lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are any bacterial or viral infection in smokers. Lymphocytes increase. 4. Monocytes: Monocytes are increased in any infectious Granulomatous disease

8. platelets Normally platelets range from 50,000 to 400,000 per microliter. Platelets are used to help the blood clot when we have a stroke.
